Construction & Design Details
Elite Impact Screen Material
At the core of the Elite Frame Impact Screen is TruSim’s Elite Impact Screen fabric, engineered for:
- High image clarity and projection performance
- Controlled rebound characteristics
- Long-term durability under repeated ball impact
This fabric is used throughout the screen body to maintain consistent performance across the entire hitting surface.
Bottom Tension Pocket (2″)
A 2-inch sewn pocket is integrated along the bottom edge of the screen.
Purpose & Benefits:
- Allows paracord, rope, or tension cable to run cleanly through the pocket
- Enables the screen to be cinched tight behind a frame or wall system
- Creates a clean, finished bottom edge with no visible hardware
This detail is especially important for premium residential installs and commercial spaces where aesthetics matter.
Front-Facing Loop Finish (Top & Sides)
A 2-inch industrial loop is sewn to the front face of the screen along the top and both sides.
Why this matters:
- Allows front-mounted framing materials to attach cleanly
- Enables a modular finish that can be removed or serviced if needed
- Provides flexibility for installers working in different enclosure types
Rear Structural Webbing (3″)
On the back side of the screen, a 3-inch heavy-duty webbing is sewn along the top and sides.
This webbing acts as the primary structural anchor for the screen.
Compatible with:
- TruGrom™ system
- TruStrap™ system
- Traditional grommet finishes
- Custom anchoring solutions
The webbing distributes load evenly across the screen, reducing stress points and extending product life.
Framed Finish System (Signature Feature)
Black Carpeted Felt Frame
To complete the Elite Frame Impact Screen, TruSim developed a black carpeted felt framing material designed specifically for this system.
Key features:
- Plush, rich appearance for a true “picture frame” effect
- Angled corners sewn for a seamless, professional finish
- Designed to visually separate the impact surface from the enclosure
Hook-and-Loop Integration
A 4-inch hook strip is sewn to the back of the felt frame material.
- The hook attaches directly to the front-facing loop sewn into the screen
- Creates a tight, clean frame with no exposed fasteners
- Allows easy removal for service or replacement
This system eliminates the need for permanent adhesives or visible mechanical fasteners on the finished face.
Installation Advantages
- Faster installation compared to traditional framed builds
- Clean front-facing finish even in tight or irregular spaces
- Reduced risk of fabric damage compared to brad nailing or stapling
- Installer-friendly modular design
Customization Options
- Any custom width or height
- Choice of rear anchoring method (TruStrap, TruGrom, grommets, etc.)
