The TruGrom™ System is a manufacturing-driven alternative to traditional metal grommets, engineered to deliver cleaner finishes, even perimeter tension, and long-term durability for golf impact screens.
Designed and built by the same team that manufactures the screens themselves, TruGrom™ eliminates the common weaknesses of punched grommet mounting and replaces them with a continuous, sewn-in loop system that installers can trust.
What is the TruGrom™ System?
TruGrom™ is a sewn-in plastic loop system integrated directly into the screen border.
Instead of punching metal grommets through webbing or hook-and-loop material, TruGrom™ uses hard plastic loops sewn into reinforced webbing, which is then sewn directly into the screen edge. This creates a continuous attachment system around the entire perimeter of the screen.
The result is a cleaner, stronger, and more professional mounting solution.
The problem with traditional grommets
Traditional screen mounting often starts with a hook-and-loop or webbing border. Metal grommets are then added afterward to create attachment points.
Each grommet:
- Punches holes through the mounting surface
- Removes usable hook-and-loop or webbing area
- Creates isolated load points instead of even tension
- Introduces stress points that can distort the screen over time
This commonly leads to:
- Uneven tension across the screen
- Premature wear at grommet locations
- Messy or inconsistent installs
- Less professional-looking enclosures
The TruGrom™ solution
TruGrom™ is sewn in, not punched in. Because the loop system runs continuously around the screen perimeter, there are no lost adhesion points and no interrupted mounting surfaces.
Key benefits
- Continuous perimeter loop system
- No punched holes or metal grommets
- Full use of hook-and-loop or webbing
- Even tension distribution across the screen
- Cleaner, more professional installs
- Reduced stress and distortion over time
Universal mounting compatibility
The TruGrom™ System is designed to work with a wide range of mounting methods and enclosure styles, including:
- Paracord
- Bungee cord
- Custom enclosure frames
- Commercial and residential simulator builds
This universal approach gives installers flexibility while maintaining consistent performance.
Built by screen manufacturers — not resellers
TruGrom™ is not a gimmick or add-on. It is a purpose-built design improvement developed by people who manufacture golf impact screens every day.
It reflects TruSim Systems’ philosophy of engineering the details that matter most to installers, sim builders, and commercial locations.
Why TruSim Systems
- Engineered by textile professionals
- Custom-built, not mass produced
- Backed by Canwil Textiles’ supply chain and expertise
- Designed for installers, not hobbyists
