Privacy Policy
TruSim Systems — a brand of Canwil Textiles, Inc. Last updated: August 28, 2026
Who we are
Canwil Textiles, Inc. (“we”, “us”) operates trusimsystems.com and the TruSim customer ordering portal. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you create a portal account: name, company, email, phone, and shipping addresses.
When you place an order: the product specifications you enter, purchase order numbers, delivery addresses, need-by dates, and the signature you provide to authorize the order.
When you pay by card: we do not collect or store your card number. Card details are entered directly into our payment processor’s secure form and transmitted to them. We receive only the card type, the last four digits, an authorization code and a transaction reference — enough to identify the payment and issue a refund, and nothing more.
Automatically: standard web log information — IP address, browser type, pages viewed. We use this to keep the site working and secure.
Why we use it
- To quote, produce, ship and invoice your orders
- To contact you about an order
- To maintain your account and your pricing
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only where needed to do the above:
- Our payment processor, to take payment and issue refunds
- Carriers, to deliver your order
- Our accountants and professional advisers, where required
- Authorities, where the law requires it
Each is bound to use the information only for that purpose.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept for 7 years to meet tax, accounting and warranty obligations. Account details are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards.
How we protect it
Access to customer data is restricted to staff who need it. The portal requires authentication. Card data never reaches our systems, which is deliberate — it means a compromise of our systems cannot expose card numbers.
No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to a business of our size and the information we hold.
Your choices
You may ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you non-essential email. Contact [email protected].
We may need to keep some records after a deletion request where the law requires it — order and tax records, for example.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, including under California law. Tell us and we will honour them.
Cookies
The portal uses cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to keep your session secure. These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off.
We use Google Analytics to understand how this website is used: which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive and which links they click. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as your device, browser, approximate location and the pages you visit. It does not give us your name or contact details. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not sell your information. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Children
Our products and services are sold to businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post any changes here with an updated date.
