Where the equipment goes
Distances are measured horizontally from the screen face, from each manufacturer's published installation range. Mount the projector on the ceiling or the equipment boom, above or just behind the golfer and never directly over the ball. Projector throw distance is the screen width multiplied by the projector's throw ratio.
| Equipment | From the screen | In feet |
|---|---|---|
| Uneekor EYE XO / XO2 | 1830–2670 mm | 6 ft 0 in – 8 ft 9 in |
| TrackMan iO | 1910–2660 mm | 6 ft 3 in – 8 ft 9 in |
| Foresight Falcon / GCHawk | 1830–2440 mm | 6 ft 0 in – 8 ft 0 in |
| Uneekor EYE XR (mounts behind the tee) | 4115–4720 mm | 13 ft 6 in – 15 ft 6 in |
| Short-throw projector | 2440–4270 mm | 8 ft 0 in – 14 ft 0 in |
| Tee position | 3050–3660 mm | 10 ft 0 in – 12 ft 0 in |
Check the current installation guide for your launch monitor or projector before you fix a mount; manufacturers revise these ranges.
Why one panel size matters
Every TruSim wall, ceiling and depth is a whole number of 600 mm panels, with 600 × 300 mm half panels to finish a height. Because the module is fixed, the frame, the screen and the panel count all follow from the room's size code, and nothing is cut on site.
Safety: nothing hard in the ball's path
A golf ball that hits bare aluminum comes straight back at the golfer. Panels absorb a ball; metal rebounds it. That is why nothing structural sits below the ceiling panels in a TruSim bay, why the equipment boom rides above the panel plane, and why exposed frame members get foam bumpers.
